BookTracker ("the app") is built so that your reading data stays yours. This policy explains what the app does — and, mostly, what it doesn't do.
None. BookTracker has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We never see your reading data.
Your books, reading sessions, goals, streaks, and statistics are stored only on your iPhone (and mirrored to your paired Apple Watch). Deleting the app deletes this data. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else.
When you search for a book by title, the app sends your search text to public book catalogs — Open Library, Apple Books, and Google Books — to find covers, authors, and page counts. These requests contain only the search text, never your identity, your library, or your reading activity. Each catalog's own privacy policy governs how it handles requests it receives.
Reading reminders and goal celebrations are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device.
The share feature creates an image on your device. Nothing is shared unless you explicitly choose to send it through the iOS share sheet.
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
